John Lammert serves as Managing Director in Silver Oak Advisors’ San Antonio office, where he leads complex restructuring engagements and sophisticated property tax advisory matters for clients across the United States. He is widely recognized for navigating high-stakes valuation disputes, multi-jurisdictional compliance challenges, and bankruptcy-related tax strategies involving some of the most intricate real estate and operating asset portfolios in the market.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Mr. Lammert brings deep and diversified experience across the real estate industry, including appraisal, asset management, investment strategy, capital markets, and development. Over the course of his career, he has overseen the adjustment of more than $500 million in property tax liabilities spanning over 450 jurisdictions nationwide. His expertise covers commercial real estate, business personal property, and highly complex restructuring assignments requiring coordination among legal, financial, and operational stakeholders.

He has led significant engagements for national and international organizations including Dura Automotive, Exide Technologies, FairPoint Communications, Bed Bath & Beyond, Big Lots, McDermott International, Superior Silica Sands, and Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. He also played a key role in expanding advisory capabilities into additional asset classes, including the automotive leasing sector, where valuation and compliance considerations are uniquely nuanced.

Prior to joining Silver Oak Advisors, Mr. Lammert served as Executive Vice President at AT Tax Advisory and as Executive Director of Real Estate Investments at USAA Real Estate Company, where he managed more than $350 million in new construction projects.
