Brian Scully is a Senior Managing Director and founding member of Silver Oak Advisors. His responsibilities are to lead, grow and develop a team of former Big Four and industry senior-level professionals providing thought leadership, analytics and strategic property tax solutions to Silver Oak clients and prospects.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Brian Scully is a Tier-1 tax consultant and “Big 4” alumnus with over 26 years of experience in the valuation and negotiation of complex tangible personal property taxes. As the Co-Founder of Silver Oak Advisors, he leads a boutique consultancy that protects the capital assets of large-scale industrial, manufacturing, and telecommunications enterprises.

​For over 17 years, Brian has successfully competed against global firms by mastering the nuances of depreciation and obsolescence. He partners with CFOs and VPs of Tax to dispute standardized assessments for complex “process plants,” reengineer internal tax departments, and manage high-stakes appeals from informal negotiations to formal Boards of Equalization.

CIVIC LEADERSHIP & SERVICE

Beyond the corporate sector, Brian is a pillar of the North Georgia nonprofit community. He serves as Treasurer and Board Member for MUST Ministries, a $30M+ human services organization, where he oversees the financial stewardship of capital campaigns and operational budgets to combat poverty and homelessness.

​Whether defending a client’s bottom line or serving as a steward for the community, Brian navigates the intersection of industrial finance, government regulation, and social responsibility with precision and integrity.
