ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Adam Matthews serves as Senior Manager in Silver Oak Advisors’ San Antonio office, where he advises clients on multi-state property tax matters involving large, institutional portfolios. He works closely with national organizations to address valuation challenges, compliance strategy, and large-scale portfolio coordination across diverse asset classes.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Mr. Matthews brings more than 20 years of experience in property tax advisory services, portfolio management, and client strategy. Over the course of his career, he has acquired and managed more than $3 billion in taxable assets on behalf of major national clients. His expertise includes overseeing large, multi-jurisdictional portfolios, navigating complex corporate structures, and leading execution across sophisticated operating environments.

He has managed engagements for clients including Ashley Furniture, Core Realty Holdings, Rooms To Go, Safeway, and TruFit Athletic Clubs. He has also supported onboarding and implementation efforts for complex organizations such as Belk Inc., Big Lots, Bed Bath & Beyond, McLane Foods, and Mattress Firm.

Prior to joining Silver Oak Advisors, Mr. Matthews served as Vice President at AT Tax Advisory and spent more than 24 years with its parent organization, Assessment Technologies, where he expanded client relationships and managed national portfolio engagements.
