Mr. Williams has over 20 years of experience in State and Local Property Taxation, primarily with the Big Four professional service firms. During his tenure, he served as the Complex and Industrial Properties Practice Leader for KPMG LLP and Paradigm Tax Group.

Due to his extensive involvement and representation of large manufacturing industrial and utility taxpayers throughout his career, Mr. Williams’ is often engaged by his clients to negotiate tax reductions in extreme political environments. He often works closely with government affairs and public relations personnel in negotiating property tax reductions and property tax incentives and abatements.

In addition to the traditional property tax minimization and tax incentive and abatement strategies, Mr. Williams’ is often engaged to assist clients in identifying, certifying and maximizing pollution control tax benefits.

Mr. Williams formerly managed the Personal Property Tax Compliance Group for one of the major accounting firms, representing national clients in tax compliance, consulting, appeals and audit defense work. He has also developed specific initiatives and marketing studies within the transportation, chemical fertilizer, paper and pulp, sugar and high-tech industries.

Mr. Williams graduated at Georgia State University with a BBA in Real Estate and Urban Affairs. He currently holds Certified General Real Estate Appraiser Licenses in the states of Georgia and South Carolina and is a registered Property Tax Consultant in Tennessee.
